Berwick Secondary College has worked over an extended period of time to drive change in how mathematics is taught, and how student learn. This journey has involved supporting teachers to develop their capacity as expert mathematics practitioners. This was achieved through many approaches, but central to success was the development of a culture of collaboration and reflection. Teachers at Berwick are asked to reflect on their practice in the classroom on a regular basis. Student voice is important in the process, as is peer to peer feedback.
