Come along and check out how schools are using Notes and Widgets to accurately and efficiently tackle examination questions in Further Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. In the first part of this session, you will be shown how notes pages can be used effectively in examinations. In the second part, you will create your own notes page application and be introduced to the magic and power of widgets. The session will conclude with you creating your own widget. No prior knowledge of notes pages and widgets is required, and you will receive some useful notes pages and widgets to provide to your students.
This workshop is aimed at Year 9 to VCE Mathematics Teachers.
Chris Ireson - Melbourne High School, T³ National Instructor Chris has been teaching Mathematics at Melbourne High School for over 30 years. In his current role, he passionate about trying to get boys excited about learning how to use their TI-Nspire CAS CX Calculator efficiently and effectively, beginning in Year 10 and culminating in Year 12 with their final examinations. To achieve this, he has written instructional material, projects and recorded videos on using the CAS Calculator. He has presented at LEC Days, the MAV Annual Conference and the T3 International Conference.
